What this covers

Almost everyone knows the headline tuition fee. Far fewer know what support they might be eligible for, and fewer still know what they would actually be left to fund themselves — which is the only number that determines whether a plan is realistic.

Where support comes from8
Government funding
National and regional schemes for study, retraining and skills — often tied to residency, sector or age, and frequently unclaimed simply because eligible people never discover them.
Scholarships
Merit, subject, country and widening-participation awards. Criteria vary enormously, and the competitive ones are usually the ones with the earliest deadlines.
Grants
Non-repayable support for specific costs — research, travel, equipment or fieldwork — often administered separately from the main admissions process.
Bursaries
Need-assessed institutional support, typically requiring financial evidence and applied for through the university rather than a central body.
Employer sponsorship
Full or partial funding in exchange for a commitment such as a return-of-service period. Terms matter more than the headline figure and should be read before signing.
Institutional funding
Fee waivers, departmental awards and alumni discounts that are rarely advertised prominently and often depend on applying by a particular round.
Funded skills programs
Sector-backed training where the cost is met by a public body or industry fund, usually attached to a defined employment or progression outcome.

Common questions
Can 100XD guarantee I will receive funding?
No, and you should be cautious of anyone who says otherwise. Funding depends on your individual circumstances, the provider's requirements and availability in that cycle. What we can do is make sure you know what exists, whether you are eligible, and when each deadline falls.
When should I start looking?
Earlier than most people expect. A number of scholarships close before course applications do, and some require you to have applied but not yet accepted a place. Starting late removes options rather than delaying them.
What if I am not eligible for anything right now?
That is worth knowing early, because it is often fixable. A different intake, a different country, a qualification added first, or a route with employer backing can change eligibility entirely. A current gap is not always a permanent one.
Do you charge a percentage of funding secured?
Fee arrangements are explained in writing before any work begins. Ask us directly and you will get a direct answer.
